June 2017 Newsletter - Issue 15

June was dominated by the national U-14 Feile competition which took place on the weekend of the 23-25th June.

May 2017 Newsletter - Issue 14

The National John West U-14 Feile competition takes place this month, and the club is proud to have teams entering in both the boys’ and girls’ competitions. The girl’s team will be playing in Kinawley on Friday 23rd June with the boys playing in Belcoo on the same day.

Thankfully the adult football season is up and going with Senior and Reserve fixtures taking place every weekend. The Reserve team remain unbeaten this year and considering it's their first season in the top flight for some time, much credit has to go the management and players for this great start.

With the football season up and going again, the grounds will be busy most evenings from now on. Development work continues at the grounds and will do so for some time. A track has been completed around Pitch 2.

Feb 2017 Newsletter - Issue 11

A Chara, Our Dinner Dance held in the Westville Hotel on Saturday 11th February, proved to be a lovely night for everyone, and thanks to all who attended and those who helped to organise it. Many thanks to our distinguished guests, Peter & Mary Quinn and Pete McGrath, who took time out to attend on the night and assisted with the presentations and thanks also for their words of encouragement.

Jan 2017 Newsletter - Issue 10

This annual event took place in Kinawley Community Hall on Saturday 7th January and it was heart-warming to see such a big turnout.

The various youth teams won six competitions in 2016, a fantastic achievement for a small club.

Thanks to Donncha O’Cathain (Vice Chairman) for MC duties on the night and to everyone who helped out in any way, from decorating the hall, printing out certificates, providing refreshments or presenting awards. Thanks also to Mark Monaghan and Paddy McGovern for representing management and county football, both role models for our young footballers.

Each team manager gave a brief rundown of how their team had developed over the year and how the panels had developed.
