Aug 2018 Newsletter - Issue 27

The team ended Division 1 league with 22 points and secured 4th position. As a result, they have earned a semi-final play-off with Derrygonnelly. The league was parked mid August to make way for the Championship. Kinawley played in the Intermediate Championship and met Enniskillen Gaels on Saturday 18th August, the first game of a double header in Derrygonnelly. 

Unfortunately on the day, the Gaels came out victorious.

However, if at the start of the season, we had been offered the opportunity to cement our position as a Division 1 team and to reach a semi-final, we would have been very happy.

The team now looks forward to the League semi-final with Derrygonnelly and the opportunity to remain in the Intermediate Championship next season so we still have a lot still to play for. They will play Newtownbutler the weekend of 8th September. We wish them luck.
