Support St. Aidan’s

Kinawley GFC expresses its full and unanimous support to the St Aidan's Community Action Group and the St Aidan's Board of Governor's in their work to see the secondary school in Derrylin remain open.

We are very well aware of the devastation that will be visited on our own club should the school close leading to the effective urbanisation of secondary school education in this area. We would draw attention to the number of our own players and members who are current and past pupils of St Aidan's and also the success that St Aidan's pupils have had at club and county level over the years. The loss of this asset in our area would have a real and lasting negative effect on our club and others locally. We therefore encourage all members, associates and supporters to lend their whole-hearted support to the campaign to retain the school and would ask other clubs to do likewise.
